Pat needs your: full name, address, social security number, date of birth and Oregon driver's license number two weeks in advance of visit to O.S.P.

Checking in to the Oregon State Penitentiary

  • Should arrive at O.S.P. in Salem no later than 5:30pm.

  • Do not wear any denim. See 'dress code' below.

  • Bring your U Book and driver's license

  • Bring a quarter

Do not bring in anything they consider contraband: money, tobacco products of any kind, or drugs. The best way to go in to the prison is with nothing more than your driver's license and your book.

Nothing can be left behind. No handouts. Everything you take in will be accounted for on the way in and out, so the less you have, the easier the process is. If you have anything with you (car keys, money, etc.) that you can't take in they have lockers that you can rent for a quarter to keep stuff in. Be sure and have your drivers license with you.

Dress Code

Dress concervatively. No denim, no walking shorts, no ski jackets or raincoats. No metal of any kind.
